Well, Steam's evil advertising got to me when I saw Audiosurf. I tried it and absolutely loved it, so I had to fork out the whopping $10 for it.
For the majority of the world that hasn't heard of Audiosurf, you're a futuristic "character" that has to collect "cars" of varying colors along a rollercoastery-track that goes along with any music file in your library to make clusters. There's a pretty complex scoring system and a large online scoreboard, which makes the game rather competitive. Each character has its own abilities to make scoring points easier.
I totally suck.
Anyone play it?

I love it! It's so much fun!
You actually ride your music. It knows were the verses, bridges, and chorus are. I've found that it works really well with "Heaven is A Place on Earth," haha.

Never heard of it before, but downloading demo on Steam right now. I'm bored anyway....fucking hackers.

Been playing it for a while now. It's very fun. I didn't even know you could use your own songs before launching it. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Oddly, when I exited the demo, and reopened it again, everything was magically unlocked and I could play an unlimited number of songs...hmm. I 'll probably pay the measly $10 anyway to support these small developers. Yes, I DO have morals.
I've mainly been trying rock/metal songs. Mainly upbeat ones. Going to try some slower songs and some rap songs now. Master of Puppets was pretty great.

Good to hear! Yeah, the upbeat songs tend to provide the most intensifying gameplay. I'll have to pop on and attempt to get a high-score on something (except the one song I played that no one else has

). So far my best character is Vegas (or Double Vision with my cousin), but I know that I could probably do better if I succumbed to actually being able to think fast enough to use Pusher.

I am absolutely addicted to this game. It's such a perfect concept and the creators carried it out perfectly. I love the way it's like a rollercoaster, going up on slow parts of a song, and then coming speeding down on fast parts, while jumping on the beats of bass.
I like the Mono character the best; just keeping it plain and simple works for me. I've yet to explore the others in depth.
Songs with lots of dynamic change and strong beats are great.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
