I am a bit of a gamer and was going through some upcoming titles and i came across the DS version of a game called Anno. It's all about conquering new territories and buidling new civilisations and its set in 1701. I like the idea of creating new towns and making sure people have food and shelter etc...but not the fighting lol! i guess we need a bit of violence to ultimately build a nice civilisation?!

Yeah think so! makes you think a bit more this one, like you have to decide whether you live like it is 1701 or live in that era but with all the advances of today. like woudl we have our computers, would we be more careful with the environment and would we still fight battles or just try and keep the peace? The version I played isn't like age of empires at all. It is centered around economics. The only fighting is the occasional pirate attack but that's about it. You don't build armies and go to war or anything.

Yeah but that's what i mean . it's about building up your own world with basic human needs but not much fighting goes on. do we need armies to have our own world? i'm addicted to anno just now http://www.anno1701.com/launch/ do you like it?

Yes I like it but I think I like Civilization IV better.
